Builds a batting order and pitching rotation for one team from the real engine's grades, cross-checked against actual performance. Upload just Players.hh and Stats.hh — the two raw save files sitting in your <name>Season folder — and that's it: the roster, splits, fielding, Pro Years, and real per-season stats all get read straight from the save, no CSV exports or Player Cards folder needed. (Every field was cross-validated against a real roster export across the whole league before being trusted here — see the commit history.) The CSV uploads below still work as a manual fallback if you don't have the save files handy. Real production is used whenever a player has a track record; the engine's projected grade fills in when he doesn't. Assumes a real AL/DH lineup: the 8 defensive position battles decide your fielders, then the single best remaining bat (by pure hitting ability, not overall — fielding value is meaningless for a bat-only role) fills the 9th spot as DH — adjust manually if your league has pitchers hit instead. Batting order follows Tango/Lichtman/Dolphin's tiered method from The Book across all 9 spots: your best hitter bats 2nd (the "2-hole revolution" — he gets more high-leverage plate appearances there than at cleanup), the better-OBP of the remaining top 3 leads off, the third fills cleanup; the next 2 best split slots 3/5 (the 3-hole is a well-established overrated slot, comparable to 5th rather than clearly above it); the rest fill 6/7/8/9 by descending quality, except a standout base-stealer bats last (9th) — right before the order turns over — as a "second leadoff," not wherever his OPS alone would place him. Hitters fully trained (1.00 proficiency) at more than one position are automatically evaluated for all of them — anything under 1.00 is excluded from an alternate position entirely, since partial training is a real fielding liability, not a "can pinch-hit there" situation. Optionally discounts a hitter's batting grade for ranking purposes when Players.hh shows a Star Rating well below his engine grade would suggest — the engine only ever sees edits, never the game's own separate scouting confidence.
Players.hh
Raw save file, from your <name>Season folder next to the .sea pointer — with Stats.hh below, this is all you need. No CSV exports required.
Stats.hh
Raw save file, next to Players.hh — exact real season-by-season stats and Pro Years, straight from the save.
League Roster
League_Roster_XXXX.csv — only needed if you don't have Players.hh
Pro Years Report
Pro_Years_Report_XXXX.csv — only needed if you don't have Players.hh + Stats.hh
Hitters Stats (Last 3 Years)
players_stats_report_last_3_years_TEAM.csv — fallback if you don't have Stats.hh
Pitchers Stats (Last 3 Years)
players_stats_Pitchers_report_last_3_years_TEAM.csv — fallback if you don't have Stats.hh
Player Cards Folder
Folder of saved FirstLast.htm player-card pages — fallback for AAA-season counting if you don't have Stats.hh
⚠ Needs attention
These players show up in your stats files as having played for this team, but the roster export currently has them elsewhere — a trade, an expiring contract, or (if you're running this pre-season) a re-signing the export hasn't caught up to yet. "Included" means they were scored off their existing ratings row anyway and are in the lineup/rotation below; uncheck the option above to exclude them, or re-export the roster file once it's updated.
Minor-league eligibility
Not on the active roster, but pulled into the pool because they cleared one of the bars above: age, AAA seasons (distinct years in their player card tagged AAA — partial seasons and multi-team years each count once), or a prospect-rating exception (the game's own internal scouting number for this player, read directly from Players.hh, is elite enough to trust despite not clearing the other two).
Batting order

Rotation
Ranked by engine grade. Actual ERA/GS shown alongside for a sanity check — a real usage that doesn't match the grade (e.g. starter-grade endurance stuck in relief) is worth a second look, not an automatic override.
